We're especially committed to making sure underrepresented founders have access to the same financial tools and opportunities that have historically been reserved for everyone else.

MEET THE OWNER
Sam Sunmonu started 8cast because he kept seeing the same pattern: talented, driven business talent getting overlooked — not because their businesses weren't good, but because they didn't have the financial infrastructure to prove it.
Over 8+ years, Sam has helped 100+ clients and has helped raise over $20M in venture funding, bank loans, and grants. He's built three-statement models, led fractional CFO engagements, and done everything from RevOps buildouts to investor data rooms. Before founding 8cast, he spent three years at a Single Family Office managing $120M+ in client assets and worked at a financial startup.
He's also done 150+ business consultations for underserved small business owners and taught financial literacy to high school and adult learners.
Sam holds a B.A. from Duke University and begins an MSF at Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business in Fall 2026.
The short version: he knows what institutional investors want to see, and he knows what it actually takes to build.

OUR STORY
The name 8cast started as a joke between friends — a play on "forecast," except we wanted to be twice as accurate. The original idea fizzled, but the name stuck, and so did the mission. What began as a side project turned into a financial consulting practice built on one core belief: that great founders deserve great financial partners, regardless of their background or zip code.
WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
8cast sits at the intersection of institutional finance and street-level hustle. Sam spent years managing $120M+ in client assets at a Single Family Office. He also spent years inside the companies — building revenue operations, closing enterprise deals, and working with founders who couldn't afford to get it wrong.
That combination is rare. Most CFOs have never raised a round with limited capital and skeptical investors. Most operators don't know how to build a model that holds up in a data room.
